HuntersNetworks is a free to use, open Social Network for the hunting, shooting and outdoor community.
Our network includes professional hunters, hunting guides, outfitters, sport hunters, videographers, outdoor writers, taxidermists, hunting TV show hosts, booking agents and others connected to the hunting and shooting world.
By joining and becoming part of HuntersNetworks, hunters can now share their sport, common views, interests and goals and network with friends, family, fellow sport hunters, professional hunters and hunting guides worldwide!
HuntersNetworks is a privately held company located in New York.

Outfitters & Professional Hunting Guides
HuntersNetworks is the prefect platform to promote your business and hunting services. Custom fields in the profile section allow you to add additional information that pertains to your business. Our network's features can help you grow your business. It is a great way to keep in touch with past clients and develop new ones! Please tell all your clients about the network and encourage them to join. If you would like to advertise your service please contact us.
Creating your Profile
To join, click on the Join Today button on the Home page. Complete the Profile form by entering relevant information in each of the form fields. There are a few required fields that you have to complete when signing up. The Optional fields can be completed later to complete your full Profile. Each time you login you will see the profile (edit) link on the top navigation bar; from here you can click on each tab to administer your profile. You can add, edit and delete information to your profile as and when you wish to. The more information you add to your profile the more interesting your profile becomes to other network members, who may wish to interact with you. You are here to network with like minded people after all.
In your profile settings, YOU decide and administer who can (other members and the public) view your detailed profile. More on that under Privacy settings below.
Contact Information
By entering your real name in the 'Full Name' field, friends will be able to find you on the Network, even though you may register with a different username. It is up to you to provide as much contact information as you wish. Away on a hunting trip or at a trade show, add all your temporary contact details in the 'Alternate contact Information' field!
In your profile settings, YOU decide and administer who can (other members and the public) view your contact details. More on that under Privacy settings below.
Adding Photos
Create up to five different photo albums and upload photographs to each one. A great way to share photos with your friends; no more emailing large files to have them bounce back or receive complaints from friends to say that they cannot view your pictures!
Your friends will now be able to view YOUR photo albums from within their profile! When they login, under the Photo tab they will find a link to 'My Friend's Albums', where they can view all their friends Photo Albums!
YOU decide and administer who can and can't view your Photo albums as well as post comments on your photos. More on that under Privacy settings below.
Classifieds
Members can list personal items as well as other products and services for sale in our free classifieds section. It's also a great place to find hunts for sale.
Messaging System
Our proprietary messaging system allows all registered network members to contact one another easily without the use of external email.
You do not need to remember a person's email address to send them a message! Cannot remember an email address or met someone but forgot to get their email address! No problem, find them on HuntersNetworks, login to your account from any computer to send them a message, it's that simple now to keep in touch.
When you login, in your Message center, click on the link Compose New Message, enter the recipient's username in the 'TO' field, enter the Subject, type your message and click SEND.
When sending messages to your 'Network friends' their usernames will automatically be displayed as you start typing in their username. Select their name from the list and add it to the TO field.
Read, reply and delete messages as you do in your regular email system.
When you receive a new message you will receive an email notifying you that you have a new message on HuntersNetworks. If you don't have access to that email account, just login to your account on HuntersNetworks as often as you wish to view new messages in your inbox. Keep in touch from anywhere in the world.
Blog
Your Blog is a place for you to share your personal thoughts and news with other people. Compose a new entry to your Blog and post it. It is a great way to keep in touch with all your network friends and let them know what you are upto! When your friends' login they will be notified that you have posted a new entry to your blog and will be able to read it.
Away on a hunting trip, add frequent reports to your Blog and share your hunt with your friends. Professional Hunters keep in touch with your existing and regular clients by posting regular updates to your blog. Just shot a great trophy let them know by posting an entry to your blog.
As with your other features, YOU have total control on who can and cannot read each individual posting to your blog.
Find Friends
Our search system allows network members to search and find other members in several different ways.
Simple search: Enter any keyword in the search box to find users associated with that keyword. Example: A person's first or last name, company name, etc.
Advanced search page: Here you will be able to select from a number of various options to refine your search. You can also use your own keywords in some search fields.
Find all members with common links: If you are viewing a members profile and wish to find other network members with similar profiles, all you need to do is click on the highlighted linked keyword within a member's profile.
Example: If you are viewing an Outfitter's profile and he/she states that they conduct hunts in Texas by clicking on the word Texas you will see a list of profiles of ALL Hunting Guides who conduct hunts in Texas.
Add Friends to your network
As in the real world, the most important aspect of joining an online Social Network is to add new friends to grow your own network or circle of friends.
To start with Invite your personal friends, hunting buddies, existing clients, fellow work colleagues to join HuntersNetworks. When you view a users profile page, you can send them a + Add to my Friends request. They will receive an email with your request. At this point they can view your profile and decide whether they wish to Accept or Decline your invitation to become your Friend!
If they Accept your Friends request, they will be linked to your profile and added automatically to your circle of friends! This in turn this will allow both of you to view each other's friends list and become friends with your friend's, friends. This way your own network will expand and grow.
Once you are friends with another member you will receive notifications of your friend's activities on HuntersNetworks and can view each others profiles, photo albums, and postings on each others blogs and interact to whatever extent you wish to!
At any time you can Remove a Friend from your list of Friends thereby cutting off their access to your Profile and your network of Friends!
Groups
A number of HuntersNetwork members can be linked together to form a Group or mini network within the overall frame of HuntersNetworks.
Any member can create a Group or multiple Groups. After you login click on the link Group and then on the link "Create New Group". Here you can name the Group, add a description, contact details, add comments, add photos of the Group, view all its members, etc.
In the Group settings you get to decide whether to create an open or closed Group and decide who can and cannot join the Group. In the event that you create a closed Group, then you will have to invite members to join the Group, otherwise anyone on the Network can join the Group.
This is a very useful feature for PH's, Hunting Guides or booking agents who can form a Group of their clients. Organizations, Clubs and Associations can also use this feature to create a network for all their members to interact with each other.
Your Privacy Settings
At HuntersNetworks we take the view that everyone is entitled to as much privacy as they wish to have. We have therefore provided several Privacy settings that allow you to control the amount of Privacy you wish to incorporate into different areas and how other network members may interact with you:
Your Profile settings: We have provided several options within your Profile settings that allow YOU to decide and control who can and cannot see:
- Your detailed Profile
- Comment on your profile
- Search for you on our Network
Photo Albums settings: You have detailed control on each one of your five individual photo albums
- Decide and control on who can view a particular album
- Who can comment on your pictures in an album
- Whether you wish to include the album in the search
Remove Friends Feature: You can choose to remove a person from your friends list. They will then no longer be able to view your profile (if you have selected the option that only allows your friends to view your profile) or profiles of your friends.
Block User Feature: At anytime, you can block a site member from contacting you if you so wish.
Reporting to Site Administrator: At any time you can report a site member for
- Spam
- Inappropriate content
- Abuse
- Any other reason
